A recipe I have noticed making its was around in many health and ancient health destinations is – Lemon & Ginger tea.
This is something that I found a few years ago, shortly after reading about the health benefits of drinking a warm glass of water with lemon juice squeezed into it very first thing in the morning.
These are two potions I can personally vouch for. I have upgraded now to (nearly every single day for the past 3 years, even while travelling through India & Nepal) a warm glass of filtered water, a generous squeeze of organic lemon juice, a dash of organic powdered turmeric, with a dash of ground black pepper (to assist in turmeric absorbsion). Drinking this very first thing in the morning in a fasted state carries vast and extensive health benefits (which are all easily found through a Google search).
The main attractor to me was the immune system benefits, as to me, a strong immune system means a Strong, Happy and Healthy being. I can confidently say that I have not been sick for the past 3 years, recently living in a house containing 3 x flu-ridden people, illness has passed through our home, I can say that I truly believe taking active approaches to my health have enable my body to block out any illness.
Of course other essential factors have come into play like; daily sunlight, daily earth grounding (article to come), daily meditation & exercise and the constant effort to consume organic fruits and vegetables every day (especially in the morning).
The main reason for writing this was to explain the benefits of the “Tea” which I have implemented into my life in the past 12 months. After trying googled recipes, I have tweaked this mixture to my liking. Especially during the colder months, this has assisted my body in being at its peak state, consistently. I know this may be just another article about this tea, but as a real person trying to share honest insights, take my word for it – this tea is amazing. Once people get past the fear of trying new and different things, they can truly benefit from a newly re-discovered but anciently concocted mixture to help you to be always – STRONG / HAPPY / HEALTHY.
To improve your health,
1.Pour 4 glasses of water into a pot, place on high heat on the stove. Add 1 x teaspoon of Coconut oil, and a dash of Himalayan Rock Salt.
2. Finely grate approximately 1 tablespoon of Ginger, mix with 1 teaspoon of powdered Tumeric, also finely grate organic lemon skin into mixture.
3. When water starts to boil, turn heat to low. Sweep in Ginger, Tumeric, Lemon skin mixture. Squeeze 1 full lemons juice into water.
4. Add 2–3 teaspoons of organic honey.
5. Stir mixture, let sit for 10–15 minutes.
6. Pour mixture into mug if you want to drink it right away, the remainder can be stored in a glass bottle (Voss water bottles work perfectly, for drinking the remainder at later times I normally boil the kettle, mix half a mug of tea with other half boiled water, perfect!)
I used to strain the mixture to allow it to be a clear drink without pulp, but now I finely grate ingredients as consuming the entire contents will yield you the greatest health benefits!
